Financial scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with fraudsters constantly adopting new methods to deceive individuals and businesses. These include digital intrusions, misleading promises, impersonation, fake investment schemes, and other tactics designed to obtain money or personal information.
“Be Scam Proof” is a public awareness initiative of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka aimed at helping the public recognise scams, verify financial offers and make informed decisions before sharing personal information or parting with their money.
